“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office (function, assignment): So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.” ROMANS 12:4-8 KJV
In order to carry out our God-given purpose, He has given each one of us various giftings. Every good designer makes sure that his instruments have the necessary resources to complete the tasks they were developed for. For example, cars are created with engines to assist the car in moving from one destination to another, helping to fulfill its purpose of providing transportation. Likewise, God is the Master Designer of all mankind and he has equipped us with “engines”, gifts of grace that assist us in skillfully accomplishing the purpose we have individually been placed on the earth for. In short, God has graced everyone with a gift and you are no exception!
